The Cottage at Smith Mountain Lake

This charming cottage on the shore of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake was the picture-perfect setting for some serious R&R... until we looked inside. It was comfortable and well-loved, the way any lake house should feel. But with bold colors and outdated decor in every room, the R&R would have to wait. The same way you'd find it difficult to take a nap in the middle of a parade, the "noise" from everything in sight made it impossible to truly relax.

With a tight budget, we kept all of the furniture and did the best we could to change out the decor and remove anything "noisy". Let's just say that the GCF got a LARGE donation that weekend 🙂
